Grants of up to $2,500 to Ontario registered charities and municipalities in eligible regions for community benefit activities. Funding is intended for programs, equipment, or resources that align with one of the following areas of focus: early literacy, environment, children and youth in recreation, children and youth at risk, and arts and culture. Eligible regions include Cambridge and North Dumfries.

Starting in 2019, the Foundation has asked grant applicants to help track the impact of their programs/projects by identifying which of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals their work addresses. Learn more here:

The maximum grant allocated through the community grants program is $2,500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Please take the time to go through the list of eligibility criteria before you begin your application:
Status as a registered charitable organization or municipality. Applicants who are not registered charitable organizations must establish a Partnership Agreement with a Qualified Donee, this can be a Registered Charity or Municipality. CNDCF requires a partnership agreement form signed by representatives of both non-charity and Qualified Donee.

Proposed program/project is NOT for any of the following:
-Conference attendance,
-Religious or political purposes,
-Team or club sponsorship/membership,
-Deficit reduction/ general operating expenses,
-Scholarship or fellowships,
-Tours or travel outside the community,
-Fundraising campaigns,
-Funding organizations that fund others
-Grant proposals that are generally focused on salaries and the organization’s overhead expenses will not be considered for funding.

The Community Grant Application will be open starting on March 6, 2020.
Applications close April 10th at 11:59 pm.
Review Period: April 16th - May 1st
