Grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 to Canada nonprofit organizations for programs to assist veterans and military families undergoing a transition from military to civilian careers and lifestyles. Funding may be requested for programming that supports military families, including youth and children (e.g. spousal supports, camps, couples counseling, tutoring, special needs, wellness, and other similar programming). Collaboration between organizations is encouraged.
When serving members retire, the challenges of transition from military to civilian culture add another layer of complexity, which offers its own unique challenges. True Patriot Love recognizes that it is not only the serving member or Veteran who requires support during transition, but, rather, the entire family.
Projects should leverage, expand or replicate proven programs and services already being offered by organizations focused on transition-related concerns, MFRCs or other organizations that provide support to military members, families and veterans.
Applications should be evidence-based and must have clear objectives, a measurement plan and specifically address project sustainability post funding.
