Grants to Ontario qualified donees in eligible locations to support Coronavirus (COVID-19) relief efforts. Funding is intended to support local organizations providing services to vulnerable populations who are affected by the health crisis. Eligible applicants serve residents in Thunder Bay.
The United Way of Thunder Bay has partnered with the Thunder Bay Community Foundation to establish a COVID-19 Community Relief Fund. The fund provides emergency relief to front-line agencies and partners to help ensure that people’s basic needs are met during this unprecedented public health challenge.
This funding is intended to support frontline community service organizations providing services to support vulnerable Canadians, including low-income seniors, women, children and youth, persons with disabilities, members of the LGBTQ2S+ community, refugees, Indigenous peoples, members of racialized communities, and more.
Funds may be used for immediate needs and priorities related to the impact of COVID-19. This includes, but is not limited to, services such as:
