Grants to Canada food processing businesses for assistance during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis. Funding is intended to help companies implement safety changes that will enhance the health and safety of employees and their families. The fund also aims to help companies invest in improving, automating, and modernizing facilities to increase Canada’s food supply during the pandemic.
The program has two main objectives that are prioritized as follows:

The EPF will provide up to $5 million per recipient in non-repayable funding for emergency COVID response activities and/or repayable funding for strategic investments.
All eligible activities must be completed and all costs incurred and paid by September 30, 2020. The program will fund activities retroactive to March 15, 2020.
