Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums

Organized in May of 2007. The Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums was established with three virtues in mind. Pride, honor and tradition. This public service band set out to create an organization that upholds the traditions of the Fire Service and aims for the high performance standard of a world class Pipe and Drum Band. The CFD P and D is comprised of members of the Chicago Fire Department and their immediate family. Every decision the band makes is done while keeping in mind our core values. Put the focus on the band and the department we represent first.Band members realize that involvement in the band is an extension of their calling in the fire service. For our civilian members, it is often a way to honor a loved one and give back the CFD family that has been there since they were born.Since the very beginning, the band has received strong support from the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Fire Fighters Union Local 2.
