Grants to British Columbia nonprofit organizations in eligible regions for improvements to outdoor recreation areas that are open to the public. Funding may be used for environmental enhancements, capital projects, natural space improvements, and trail development. Eligible projects are those that benefit the residents of Greater Vernon.
The Regional District of North Okanagan allocates annual grant funding that is available to not-for-profit community organizations wishing to propose ecological trail development, trail improvements, or capital projects on Greater Vernon Trails & Natural Spaces that feature publically accessible additions and improvements for the benefit of Greater Vernon residents and trail users.
This support acknowledges that:
Preference will be given to those projects that demonstrate environmental impact, innovation and collaboration across sectors and interests such as the inclusion of art and culture pieces.
